Sharing the checklist via QR code
In a busy kitchen, not everyone needs (or wants) a login. The Share Checklist feature generates a public, mobile-first version of today's cleaning and temperature checks behind a unique token — perfect for printing as a QR code and sticking on the wall. Guest names are captured on every completion so your audit trail stays intact.
Generate a share link
Open Today's Checklist and tap 'Share Checklist' in the header. Seito creates a unique public URL and a downloadable QR code for the site.
Print and display
Print the QR code (or the link) and display it where staff log tasks — by the prep bench, near the walk-in, by the exit. The same link can be reused day after day.
How it works for staff
Staff scan the code, type their name once, then tick off cleaning tasks and record temperatures. Out-of-range temperature readings still raise an Action Log entry automatically.
Manage existing links
Re-open the Share Checklist dialog to copy the link, regenerate the QR, or revoke a token if it's been over-shared. Revoked tokens stop working immediately.
Trials and expired subscriptions
In the last 7 days of your free trial the shared page shows the same countdown warning your team sees when logged in. If a subscription expires or is cancelled, the shared page becomes view-only — staff can still see today's tasks but can't tick them off or record temperatures until you subscribe again. Comped accounts and live trials are unaffected.
Tips
- Guest names appear alongside staff names in History views — train your team to use their real first name.
- The public flow uses a service role on the backend that only respects valid tokens, so you can share the link safely.
- If you change the layout of your shifts or add new tasks, the public page picks them up automatically — no need to re-share.
