Setting opening hours & holiday closures
Seito uses a simple Open/Closed flag for each day of the week — there are no opening/closing times to maintain. On closed days (regular days off or one-off closures) the dashboard goes into ad-hoc mode: you can still log records for spot checks or pop-ups, but those records don't count towards compliance metrics or trigger 'overdue' alerts.
Open opening hours settings
From your Site Dashboard, open the Site Admin section and choose 'Opening Hours'.
Set your weekly schedule
For each day of the week, toggle Open or Closed. Changes save automatically. There are no times to enter — the toggle alone tells Seito whether to expect a full set of compliance records that day.
Add a closure
Scroll to the 'Closures' section and click 'Add closure'. Pick a start and end date and optionally add a reason (e.g. 'Bank holiday', 'Refurb'). The site is treated as closed for the entire range.
Verify the schedule
Return to your Site Dashboard. On a closed day you'll see an info banner explaining you're in ad-hoc mode and that anything logged won't be counted towards your compliance score.
Tips
- Add bank holidays as closures at the start of each year so your compliance records stay clean.
- Closures can overlap — Seito treats any day covered by at least one closure as closed.
- Even on closed days, ad-hoc deep cleans and spot checks are still worth logging — they appear in your audit trail.
