Seito / Help guides

Setting up your business & first site

Seito is organised around businesses and sites. A business is your legal entity; a site is each physical location (kitchen, café, unit). You can run one site or many — all managed from a single account, with a free 30-day trial that doesn't ask for a card up front.

Create an account

Go to seito.app and click 'Get started'. Sign up with email and a password, or use 'Continue with Google'. If you sign up with email, click the verification link we send before signing in.

Complete onboarding

After signing in for the first time you'll be taken through a 4-step onboarding wizard: business type, UK region (England/Wales, Scotland, or Northern Ireland — this picks the right SFBB / CookSafe / Safe Catering framework), business details, and your first site.

Land on your Business Dashboard

Once onboarding is complete you'll land on your Business Dashboard. This is the multi-site overview — it lists every site as a card with live compliance status. Click a site card to drill into its Site Dashboard for daily operations.

Explore the Site Dashboard

The Site Dashboard groups everything into three sections: Daily Operations (today's checklist, cleaning, temperatures, deliveries, cooking), Compliance & Records (action log, periodic checks, compliance report, allergens), and Site Admin (settings, team). Live counts show what's done and what's still outstanding.

Invite your team

From the Business Dashboard, open Team Management to invite staff. Choose between an emailed invite or a 7-day single-use join code, assign a role (Owner, Admin, Manager, Supervisor, Staff) and pick which sites the person can access.

Tips

  • Use a shared team email (e.g. kitchen@yourbusiness.com) as the owner account so you're never locked out if a manager leaves.
  • Set up opening hours early — Seito uses them to decide which days require compliance records.
  • You can have separate sites for separate kitchens within the same building (e.g. a main kitchen and a prep kitchen). Pricing is per active site.
