Logging deliveries
Every food delivery should be checked before it enters your kitchen. Seito's delivery log captures supplier, goods, temperature at point of arrival, and accept/reject status. Chilled goods over 8°C and any rejection require a mandatory reason — and rejections automatically raise an Action Log entry so follow-up is tracked.
Open the delivery log
From your Site Dashboard, tap 'Delivery Log'. Today's deliveries appear at the top. Use the History tab to browse past days and export CSVs.
Add a new delivery
Tap 'Log delivery'. Enter the supplier and a brief description (e.g. 'Mixed dairy — milk, cream, butter'). Log deliveries as they arrive — if one was genuinely missed at the time, the date/time controls let you record the actual time it happened, and a brief note ('logged late — arrived 09:15') keeps the audit trail honest.
Record the temperature
For chilled deliveries, take a probe reading and enter it. The hard limit is ≤8°C — anything above is out-of-range and requires a reason whether you accept or reject.
Accept or reject
Mark the delivery Accepted or Rejected. Rejections require a mandatory reason (damaged packaging, wrong temp, off smell, etc.) and automatically open a linked Action Log entry.
Tips
- Check chilled goods before signing the delivery note — once you sign, you've taken legal responsibility.
- If you have to accept a borderline delivery, record the reason and use stock fast — log a corrective action.
- Photograph damaged or warm goods on your phone and reference the photo in the notes.
